A triangle and trapezoid share a 15 inch base and a height of 10 inches. For what values of b is the area of the trapezoid less than twice the area of the triangle?

10(b+15)/2 <= 2 * 10*15/2
b+15 <= 30
b <= 15

Just FYI: a triangle with base b is just a special case of a trapezoid, where the top base is zero. The average of the bases is just b/2
