aside from the ambiguity caused by a paucity of parentheses,
#1 looks ok
#2 (-3)^2 = 9, not -9
but that's ok, since you dropped it in the next step anyway.Other than that, it's virtually incomprehnsible.
Add some parens so it's clear what is wanted. I can guarantee that 115/3-9 is not 115/27, no matter how you parse it.
