Why are there spaces between some of the numbers? Please list them in column form.
i need to find the mean of each set of data i know to find the mean i add all the numbers , then divide by the total numbers that were added
1) would be divided by 8
2) would be divided by 7
but im not sure how to add up all these numbers
1)
-6
3
-2
6
7
-3
-5
8
2)
-17
32
-9
0
52
12
-14
Thanks. Now I can see the numbers more clearly.
1)
-6
3
-2
6
7
-3
-5
8
Positive numbers: 3 + 6 + 7 + 8 = 24
Negative numbers: -6 -2 - 3 - 5 = -16
24 - 16 = 8
8/8 = 1
Try number 2.
i got
32+0+52 + 12 = 96
-17 + -9 + -14 = -40
96 - 40 = 56
56 /8 = 7 as the mean
Right!
thanks so much i understand it better
