Don't make this harder than it is.
If a cubic yard is 3'x 3'x 3' what is that total? Don't make the mistake of looking at the three 3s and saying nine.
Multiply the numbers just like they say. 3x3x3=?
So when you get that number divide it by how many feet are in a yard and multiply by 3, then 1 cent per cubic foot will give you the cents.
Does that make sense?
