a recycling company collected d kg of waste paper in february&2400 kg of waste paper in march.The amount of waste paper collected in both february&march was 3 times that of the amount collected in january in terms of d.
(a) Find the amount of waste paper collected in january in terms of d.
(b) If the recycling company collected 4500kg of paper in february, what was the amount of waste paper collected in january? Help me pls !

d-kg collected in Feb.
2400kg collected in Mar.

a. 3x = d + 2400,
X = (d + 2400) / 3.

b. X = (4500 + 2400) / 3 = 2300kg Collected in Jan.
