What were some of the types of writing and genres for Native American Literature, that were predominant during the 1600s when there literature was discovered?

I think their type of writing was based on naturism, since they were one of nature, but I do no exactly know what genres that were used.

Yes I did. For the paragraph below, these were the things that most caught my eye. Are these the genres of Native American Literature? And for the type of literature, there was naturism, cultural stories (i guess).. i am still unsure on the types of writing.

Native American literatures, which were largely oral at the time of colonial settlement, stand apart as a separate tradition that is itself strong and varied. cultures had rich, established literature. Legends, folktales, and other forms of literature were preserved in oral form. stories that survive are creation myths, descriptions of the beginnings of the universe and the world and of the origin of humankind. The creation myths of Native American cultures share with the Genesis accounts a concern with relationships among the divine, the human, and the world of animals and plants; the reasons behind those relationships; and the saga of the universe before the advent of humanity.
