9 2/3 = 9 4/6 = 8 10/6
8 10/6 - 3 5/6 = 5 5/6
1. turn them into improper fraction
9 2/3= 29/3
3 5/6= 23/6
2. convert each to the same denominator=
58/6-23/6
you should be able to figure it out from there then simplify if possible
