What is the perimeter of a rectangle with a length of 4 2/3 inches and a width of 3 1/3 inches

    P = 2L + 2W

    P = 2(4 2/3) + 2(3 1/3)

    P = ?

    A perimeter is the area around the rectangle. Since one side is the same as the other, you would add the length and width together, then multiply by 2.

    4 2/3 + 3 1/3 = 8 inches

    8 X 2 = 16 inches.
