um i fail, the problem its self is 5(6-4x) = X + 21
5(6-4x) = X + 21
30 - 20x = x + 21
30 - 21 = 20x + x
9 = 21x
9/21 = x
0.4286 = x
If you want to check your answer, (this is helpful on tests,too) You just fill in each X with the number you got. (In this situation it would be 0.4286)
If both sides equal the same thing(I got 21.428) That means it is correct.
21.428=21.428 Check!
