I left out a few sentences on family relationships I'd like you to check. Thank you. I think the word choice an be improved.

1) Teenagers sometimes feel as if they are caught in a No-Man’s-Land (synonym?) between childhood and adulthood. On the one hand, they want to be treated as adults and take responsibility for the actions.
2) On the other hand, they are perhaps not mature enough to deal with the consequences of their actions. In addition, they don’t want to part from their family (to leave their family.) 3) Parents find themselves in a similar position. They know in their hearts of heart (synonym) that their children have grow up and therefore don’t need the same protection as was one expected.
4) Children and parents find it difficult to achieve a new balance in their relationship.
5) The journalist believes that parents should give their teenagers space to find their own identity by letting them make their own choices and giving them responsibility for their choices.
6) They should communicate them that they trust and respect them instead of giving them repeated advice and warnings.
7) Teenagers, on the other hand, need to respect their parents’ opinions and choices instead of simply complaining about them or even ignoring them.

Choose the 3 or 4 that you truly question.
