I isolated the sentences I'd like you to check.
Can you please have a look at them?
1) Basil and Dorian first meet at a party at Lady Brandon's. Basil's first reaction is (of)fear, because he knows he has met someone whose personality can absorbe both his soul and his heart. Dorian is his inspiration and is necessary to him (himself?) and his art.
2) Since he met (?) him, he has created the best work of his life.
