1. Uros people began to live this way.

2. Uros people began to live in this way.

3. Uros people began to live by making their houses and boats with reeds as well.

4. Uros people began to live by also making their houses and boats with reeds.

(Are they all grammatical? Would you check the sentences? Thank you. Take care.)

All are grammatically correct, but #3 would be better if the end of the sentence read this way: ... houses with reeds and their boats as well.
