24 cannot be right, since f(x) is a perfect square if x is an integer.
f(2)=(5-2)²=?
f(-2)=(5-(-2))²=(7)²=?
Your answer of 24 is incorrect for both cases
f(x) = (5-x)^2
f(2) = (5-2)^2 = 3^2 = 9
f(-2) = (5-(-2))^2 = 7^2 = 49
