A MAP HAS THE SCALE OF 1 INCH = 80 MILES. WHAT IS THE ACTUAL DISTANCE , IN MILES, BETWEEN TWO TOWNS THAT ARE 4 1/2 INCHES APART ON THE MAP?

1. 280
2. 320
3. 324
4. 360
5. 400

the answer is 360. If you divide 360 by 4.5 (4 and a half) you get 80 miles.
