2 x^2 - 3 x - 2 = 0

x = [ 3 +/- sqrt (9 + 16) ]/ 4

x = [ 3 +/- sqrt(25) ]/ 4

= [3+5]/4
or
= [3-5]/4

= 2 or -1/2

(x-2)(2x + 1) = 2 x^2 -3x - 2 yes
