Homework Help: science

Posted by Annie on Saturday, August 27, 2011 at 3:57am.

A man incurs a deep laceration on his thigh, he goes to the hospital and gets the wound cleaned, stitched and dressed. He was discharged soon after.

Four days after the man finds the wound extremely painful and had a smelly discharge.

QUESTION: by which intention would this wound heal? (I found primary/first intention to be suitable, but since he already received sutures, and the wound is now infected, I'm not too sure)

any hints?
