then the next even integer is x+2
x(x+2) = 224
x^2 + 2x - 224 = 0
(x-14)(x+16) = 0
x=14 or x = -16
if x=12, then x+2 = 16
if x = -16 , then x+2 = -14
the two integers are 14 and 16 or -14 and -16
