Then write a 250-300 word memo describing what you expect the most important issues to be on your new beat and whom you expect to be your most important human sources. Respond to at least two of your classmates’ posts.

Scenario 1: You have been assigned to cover your city government.
Scenario 2: You have been assigned to cover your local public school system.
Scenario 3: You have been assigned to cover local sports.

Certainly, bullying is one problem. Other common problems in schools are lack of money, teacher-layoffs, cutting of programs, and overcrowding.

The superintendent is an important contact. Principals and school board president should also be considered.
