Soybean meal is 12% protein; Cornmeal is 6% protein. How many pounds of each should be mixed together in order to get 240lb mixture that is 8% protein?

s = pounds soy
c = pounds corn

s+c = 240 so c = (240-s)

.12 s + .06 c = .08 (240)

so
.12 s + .06(240-s) = .08 (240)
