Add:
(-1/3x^2-1/4x+3/4)+(1/2x^2-1/4x-1/2)
Here is an example:
(x^2 + 3x + 2) + (2x^2 - 7x + 5)
First, group the like terms together.
(x^2 + 3x + 2)
(2x^2 - 7x + 5)
Then add as usual.
3x^2 - 4x + 7
Use the same method for your problem.
