The length of a swimming pool is 22 ft. The width is 40 ft. If the volume of the pool is 2,500 ft³, which equation below could be used to find the depth of the pool?

  • math -

    L=Lenght

    W=Width

    D=Depth

    V=Volume

    V=W*L*D

    W*L=A

    A=Area of a pool

    V=A*D Diwide with A

    V/A=D

    D=V/A

    In this case:

    A=L*W

    A=22*40

    A=880 ft^2

    D=V/A=2500/880= 2.8409 ft

  • math -

    the 5 is good

  • math -

    Uh what?
