The height of a right triangle is 7 inches greater than the length of its base. If the area of the triangle is 15 square inches, find the base.
(1/2)(b)(b+7) = 15 b^2+7b= 30 b^2+7b-30 = 0 (b+10)(b-3) = 0 b = 3
