a 250.0 mL of solution contains 50.0 mL acetone and 45.0 mL ethyl alcohol and the remainder water. Calculate the % acetone,
% ethyl alcohol, and water in the solution. Show calculations.

    20.0% acetone
    18.0% Ethyl Alcohol
    62.0% water

    You take the mL you're trying to find divided by the whole solution, then multiply by 100.

    For example, you have 50.0mL/250.0mL = 0.20
    Take 0.20 x 100 and it will give you the percent.
