I was just wandering if this was correct?
1. Your company is planning to spend no less than $80,000 and no more than $100,000 on a landscaping project, which will be used as a promotional park that promotes your toaster manufacturing company. Write an inequality with a variable that demonstrates how much money your company is willing to spend. (20% of grade)
80,000 ≤ y ≤ 100,000
2. In the promotional park your company has budgeted $40,000 for some High Quality Astroturf and trees for a miniature golf course. The company plans on laying out 4,000 square feet of High Quality Astroturf, which costs $5.50 per square foot. The trees that your company wants to plant on the course cost $1313 each. Write out an inequality using the variable “t” for trees to show how many trees that you can plant. (20% of grade)
4,000(5.5) + 1313t<1=40,000
22,000+1313t < = 40,000
1313t < = 13.7
T < = 13 I can plant 13 trees because I cannot plant .7 trees

a. Write an equation in the “y = mx + b” format for the canal that runs through the Toaster Company property. Solve for “m” and “b” in the “y = mx + b” formula. The canal crosses the xaxis at 16 and crosses the yaxis at 3. See the chart for a visual. (20% of grade)
X intercept is 16, the point is (16,0)
Y intercept is 3, that is the b of the equation and the point (0,3)
Slope= (3,0)/(0(16))= 3/16
This makes the equation y= (3/16)x+3
b. Write an equation in the “y = mx + b” format for the Power Lines that runs through the Toaster Company property. Solve for “m” and “b” in the “y = mx + b” formula. The power lines cross the yaxis at 1 and cross the xaxis at 4. See the chart for a visual. (20% of grade)
y=4x+1
c. What is the slope of the equation for the power lines? (10% of grade)

3 b) is not correct
you have 2 points (0,1) and (4,0)
the slope is (01)/40) = 1/4 , you had 4
equation: y = (1/4)x + 1
c) slope of power line would be 1/4
d) slope of equation of canal is 3/16
