How many moles of aluminum chloride can be produced if you start with 8 moles of aluminum and 9 moles of chlorine?

    This is a limiting reagent problem. I know that because BOTH reactants are given. I solve these problems by solving two simple stoichiometry problems. This gives two answers, of course, but the correct answer is always the smaller value of product. Here is a worked example of a simple stoichiometry problem.
