There are 231 cubic inches in a gallon. a large juice can has a diameter of 6 inches and a height of 10 inches.How many gallons of juice dos the can hold? round to nearesst tenth.

Here are two answers from Tuesday.

First find the volume of the large juice can. Since the can is a cylinder, you would use the formula:
V=pir^2h
V=(3.14)(3^2)(10)
V=(3.14)(9)(10)
V=282.6
Divide 231/282.6 to get 0.817 gallons
