if you have an object of mass 5.4 g and volme 2.7 cm3 would the object float in water
An object will float if its' density is less than the density of the fluid it is placed in.
Density = 5.4g / 2.7cm^3 = 2g/cm^3.
Density of water = 0.99g/cm^3.
The object will not float , because its' density is greater than the density of water.
