What should be capitalized?

we sent him immediately to radiology and will speak with mrs. farrel when she arrives.
Answer:
We sent him immediately to Radiology and will speak with Mrs. Farrel when she arrives.
Note: there is a rule related to departments that is very unique to medical transcription. Doctors will often refer to a specialty as an entity in and of itself, encompassing the building, the people, and the department all in one. (therefore the capital letter)
