first divide both sides by negative 2 !! BUT !! remember that when you multiply (or divide) both sides of an inequality by a negative number you reverse the direction of the arrow.

c-1 > 11
c > 12
check
try c = 13
-2(12) < -22 ?
-24 < -22 right, good
