I forgot to include the following sentences. They are really urgent.

1)He hadn't read a book since he was a boy/ "by the time he was a boy he hadn't read a book (is a mistake?)
2) She told me she had dumped him/broken/finished with him. (are they all possible???)
3) “Lots of our friends have sponsored us and if the journey goes well, we’ll raise a lot of money for UNICEF.”
4)Will they get money if they complete the trip? Yes, they will. They’ll give the money they raise to UNICEF/All the money they raise will go to UNICEF
5)I don’t belong to a charity / or to any charities (not any charity). When there are charity shops like when they sell bonsai or flowers, I sometimes help by buying something.

2) She told me she had dumped him/had broken up with him/was finished with him. <~~NOW they're all possible!

3) OK

4) Will they get money if they complete the trip? Yes, they will. They’ll give the money they raise to UNICEF/All the money they raise will go to UNICEF.
Those are fine.

5)I don’t contribute to or volunteer for any charities. When charity shops are selling bonsai or flowers, I sometimes help by buying something.
