when adding a negative with a positive the answer isn't always negative?
No. When adding and subtracting, the sign depends upon the numbers.
When multiplying and dividing a negative and a positive, the answer is negative.
so what if you have a -18 divided by -3 is the answer then 6?
can you just clear this up for me...
a negative times a negative is a positive? a negative divided by a negative is a positive also?
ok..and a negative times a positive is a negative and the same for dividing a negative by a positive it is always negative?
