How do you solve log5 sqrt125?

we *solve* an equation for an unknown, and we *simplify* an expression.

Simplify:

log_{5}√125

=log_{5}√(5³)

= 3

(125 = 5³, so log_{5}125=3, just like log_{10}10³=3)
