I need a lot of help.

Which of the following statements best explains why many believed that Constantinople would be a better seat for the head of the Christian church than was Rome?

A. Constantinople was closer to the Holy land

B. Rome was remote and sparsely poulated.

C. Rome had been a pagan city in the past, and has persecuted Christians.

D. Constantinople was at higher elevation, and was believed to be closer to God.

I think the answer is b.
