Homework Help: GCF Help?

w^2-15w+44=0

How would I solve this?
I know you need to find the GCF of it, but I can't figure it out..

Could someone help me?

what multiplies to 44 and adds to 15. Lets search
44,1 nope
22,2, nope
11, 4 yes if both are the same sign.

(x-11)(x-4)=0
x=11 x=4
