I seen the help you gave other people and was wondering if you could help me idenify 5 adjectives and adverbs in my paragraph.

St. Louis is considered to be Cardinals Nation. The St. Louis Cardinals are a professional baseball team based in St. Louis, Missouri. They were founded in 1882 and are members of the Central Division in the National League of Major League Baseball. The Cardinals have won 10 World Series championships, tops in the National League and second in MLB only to the American League's New York Yankees, who have 27. The Cardinals were founded in the American Association in 1882 as the St. Louis Brown Stockings, taking the name from an earlier National League team. They joined the National League in 1892 and have been known as the Cardinals since 1900. The Cardinals began playing in the current Busch Stadium in 2006, and were the first team since the Yankees in 1923 to win the World Series in their first season in a new ballpark (the Yankees would repeat the feat in 2009 at the new Yankee Stadium). The Cardinals have a long standing rivalry with the Chicago Cubs as well as a newer rivalry with the Houston Astros.

We'll be glad to HELP you identify the adjectives and adverbs.

The first adjective is "professional," which modifies team. The first adverb is "only," which modifies "second."

Study this site.

I'll be glad to check your answers. Be careful about adverbs, though. I don't see any other adverbs in this paragraph.

Can you give me a hint on the number of adjectives you see?

I think the adjectives are

opening
central
national
major
some

Please let me know if I am correct.

opening I don't see this word.

central This is part of the proper noun, "Central Division."

national Same as above. It's part of a proper noun.

major Same as above. It's part of a proper noun.

some I don't see this word.

opening is before day in the first sentence. Some is in the 3rd to last sentence.

Do you know how many adjectives there are in the paragraph?

This is the first sentence you posted.

"St. Louis is considered to be Cardinals Nation. "

Here are your last three sentences.

"They joined the National League in 1892 and have been known as the Cardinals since 1900.

"The Cardinals began playing in the current Busch Stadium in 2006, and were the first team since the Yankees in 1923 to win the World Series in their first season in a new ballpark (the Yankees would repeat the feat in 2009 at the new Yankee Stadium).

"The Cardinals have a long standing rivalry with the Chicago Cubs as well as a newer rivalry with the Houston Astros."

Here is my new paragraph that I revised. Please help me with the adjectives and adverbs. I have a learning disorder and get very upset when I can not figure things out.

Thanks
