Brent's normal wage is $672 for a 40 hour week. He worked overtime and earned $873.60 in one week.
How many hours of overtime did he work if he was paid double time for the overtime worked?

the overtime wage / overtime rate

$672/40 = $16.80 per hour

($873.60 - $672)/(2*$16.80) = overtime hours
