Can you please check this paragraph I summarized myself from an internet site called euronews.
I think it can be useful to revise passive tenses and, of course, to keep up to date with what happens in Japan.

1.A 10-meter tsunami slammed into the Japanese city of Sendai killing hundreds and sweeping away everything in its wake.The wall of water and debris, which spread overhuge swathes (areas) of northeastern Japan, was triggered by the country’s biggest ever earthquake, measuring 8.9 magnitude.
2.Cars, lorries and boats bobbed like toys.
3.Some 3,000 people living close to a nuclear plant in Fukushima, north of Tokyo, were told to evacuate after the reactor’s cooling system malfunctioned, but there are no reports of a radiation leak.
4.Other nuclear power plants and oil refineries have been shut down.
A ship carrying 100 people was swept away and passenger train is reported as missing.
5.Dramatic pictures have been beamed across the globe. The international community has vowed to assist the country and the UN has 30 search and rescue teams ready to deploy.
