A basketball team scored 48 baskets in 1 game. Each basket was worth one or two points. If the team scored 84 points, how many one- point and two-point baskets did it score?

Let x = one-point baskets and 48-x = two-point baskets.

X + 2(48-x) = 84

Solve for x and then 48 - x.
