Homework Help: world issues

i need some detailed information about the history of any country in the world that has had major urban development.
-why was the site chosen? (for development)
- what is the nature of the urban area?
- how much population and housing is there?
- where do water and food supplies come from and by what means?
- what enviromental concerns are related to the area ?

All the following questions must be provided in the research ? where do i find answers and information for this?
