The scores on a personality test are normally distributed with a mean of 250 and a standard deviation of 30. What proportion of people taking the test can be expected to score above 229?

Z = (score-mean)/SD

Find table in the back of your statistics text labeled something like "areas under normal distribution" to find the proportion related to the Z score.
