Hell All,

Please help my son with his Math fraction. He needs to put the below fractions in ordedr from least to greatest.

1) 2/4, 2/3, 2/7, 2/5

2) 1/2, 6/7, 5/7, 1/10

3) 1/2, 6/7, 1/12, 2/3, 11/12, 1/6, 1/3, 1/4, 4/5

Please help!!!

Thanks.

The easiest way is to convert these fractions to decimals by using a calculator.

2/4 = 0.50
2/3 = 0.67
2/7 = 0.29
2/5 = 0.40

1) 2/4,2/3,2/7,2/5

2/4 = 0.5
2/3 = 0.66666
2/7 = 0.28571
2/5 = 0.4

2) 1/2,6/7,5/7,1/10

1/10=0.1
1/2=0.5
5/7=0.71429
6/7=0.85714

3) 1/2,6/7,1/12,2/3,11/12,1/6,1/3, 1/4, 4/5

1/12=0.08333
1/6=0.16666
1/4=0.25
1/3=0.33333
1/2=0.5
2/3=0.66666
4/5=0.8
6/7=0.85714
11/12=0.91666

1) 2/4,2/3,2/7,2/5

2/4 = 0.5
2/3 = 0.66666
2/7 = 0.28571
2/5 = 0.4

Order is:

2/7=0.28571
2/5=0.4
2/4=0-5
2/3=0.66666

84x6=

84x6

84*6=336

To order fractions from least to greatest, you need to compare their values. The easiest way to compare fractions is to find a common denominator. Here's how you can solve each set of fractions:

1) 2/4, 2/3, 2/7, 2/5
To find the common denominator, you need to find the least common multiple (LCM) of the denominators, which in this case is 60. Multiply each fraction by the necessary factor to get a denominator of 60:
2/4 = (2/4) * (15/15) = 30/60
2/3 = (2/3) * (20/20) = 40/60
2/7 = (2/7) * (8/8) = 16/56
2/5 = (2/5) * (12/12) = 24/60

Now compare the fractions:
16/56 < 24/60 < 30/60 < 40/60

So, the order from least to greatest is:
16/56, 24/60, 30/60, 40/60

2) 1/2, 6/7, 5/7, 1/10
The least common denominator here is 70. Multiply each fraction by the necessary factor:
1/2 = (1/2) * (35/35) = 35/70
6/7 = (6/7) * (10/10) = 60/70
5/7 = (5/7) * (10/10) = 50/70
1/10 = (1/10) * (7/7) = 7/70

Now compare the fractions:
7/70 < 35/70 < 50/70 < 60/70

So, the order from least to greatest is:
7/70, 35/70, 50/70, 60/70

3) 1/2, 6/7, 1/12, 2/3, 11/12, 1/6, 1/3, 1/4, 4/5
Here, the least common denominator is 420. Multiply each fraction by the necessary factor:
1/2 = (1/2) * (210/210) = 105/420
6/7 = (6/7) * (60/60) = 360/420
1/12 = (1/12) * (35/35) = 35/420
2/3 = (2/3) * (140/140) = 280/420
11/12 = (11/12) * (35/35) = 385/420
1/6 = (1/6) * (70/70) = 70/420
1/3 = (1/3) * (140/140) = 140/420
1/4 = (1/4) * (105/105) = 105/420
4/5 = (4/5) * (84/84) = 336/420

Now compare the fractions:
35/420 < 70/420 < 105/420 < 105/420 < 140/420 < 280/420 < 336/420 < 360/420 < 385/420

So, the order from least to greatest is:
35/420, 70/420, 105/420, 105/420, 140/420, 280/420, 336/420, 360/420, 385/420

I hope this helps your son with his math fractions! Let me know if you have any further questions.
