no. First multiply both sides by 5y, giving you
-3=-45y, then divide by -45
-3/-45 = y this reduces to 1/15
The way that Jena typed her question, her answer is correct
(-3)/(5)y=-15
or
(-3/5)y = -15
-3y = -75
y = 25
