I read an article yesterday in which the author claimed that crowded cities are better for the environment than sprawling suburbs. Cities don't use as much horizontal space for housing. The inhabitants rely on more fuel efficient public transportation, and they walk more than their suburban counterparts.
What about oil drilling in Alaska's pristine wilderness?
