how many one-centimeters squares fit inside a square that has an area of 9 square meters?

The equivalent question is how many square centimentres are in 9 square metres.

1 square metre
= 1 metre * 1 metre
= 100 cm * 100 cm
= 10000 sq cm.
So
9 square metres
= ? sq. cm?

For a square:

9 m^2 = 3 m * 3m = 300 cm * 300 cm = ?
