In 2000 the population of goddard was 5,554. The population of Valley Center was 7,323. What is the Approximate difference between the populations, to the nearest one hundred people.

please! help I'm totaly confuse with this question?? do you substract it?

Yes, you would substractthe two populations to find the difference.
7,323-5,554= 1,769
You need to round to the nearest hundred people.
The approximate differnce to the nearest one hundred people is 1,800 people.
