verbs like venir and tener where only the yo-form is different, what are these verbs called and could someone list them. thanks

verbs that are irregular in the "yo" form:

salir = salgo
decir = digo
hacer = hago
estar = estoy
poner = pongo
venir = vengo
caer = caigo
tener = tengo
oír = oigo
traer - traigo

Although I may not have all of them and they are not in alphabetical order, if you go to the back of any good Textbook, in the Appendices, you will find irrgegular verbs listed.

Verbs like venir and tener, where only the yo-form (first-person singular) is different, are called "stem-changing verbs" or "boot verbs." These verbs undergo a change in the stem vowels in certain forms, but the rest of the conjugation remains regular.

Here is a list of some common stem-changing verbs in Spanish:

1. Venir (to come) - yo vengo
2. Tener (to have) - yo tengo
3. Poder (to be able to) - yo puedo
4. Querer (to want) - yo quiero
5. Pensar (to think) - yo pienso
6. Empezar (to start) - yo empiezo
7. Almorzar (to have lunch) - yo almuerzo
8. Dormir (to sleep) - yo duermo
9. Jugar (to play) - yo juego
10. Pedir (to ask for) - yo pido

Remember that only the yo-form changes in stem-changing verbs. The rest of the conjugation follows the regular pattern for regular verbs. Make sure to consult a reliable Spanish verb conjugation resource for complete conjugations of all the stem-changing verbs.
