FYI-"algabra" is not how you spell algebra.

3x^2- 12x - 24 = 0

This equation cannot be solved by factoring.

Use the Quadratic Formula, or the method of completing the square.

Here is the quadratic formula.

x = (-b +- (sqrt(b^2 - 4ac)))/2a

3x^2 - 12x - 24 = 0

a = 3, b = -12, c = -24

Plug these values for a, b, and c in this formula and solve.
