In Spanish I need to ask what a friend is doing. Que haces?, correct except with accent over "e"

If the friend is skating- I could say Patino, correct?

I need to ask a friend what they are doing so I would say Que haces? with accent over "e", correct
But how do I say I'm reading in first year Spanish? Is it some form of "leer"
Thank you

You will find this answered in your later post, which I saw first.

Yes, to ask your friend what they are doing in Spanish, you would say "¿Qué haces?" with an accent over the "e."

To say that someone is skating in Spanish, you would use the verb "patinar." So you are correct, you could say "Patino" to ask if your friend is skating.

To express that you are reading in first year Spanish, you would use the verb "leer," which means "to read." The first-year form of "leer" would be "Leo." So you can say "Leo" to indicate that you are reading.

If you want to add more context and say that you are reading a specific thing, you can use the preposition "un" (meaning "a") or use an article like "el" or "la" (meaning "the"). For example, you can say "Leo un libro" (I am reading a book) or "Leo el periódico" (I am reading the newspaper).

Remember that in Spanish, verbs often change depending on the subject, so "leo" is the form of "leer" that corresponds to "I" or "Yo."
