Homework Help: Science EASY HELP

I had posted this question before but no one answered for half and hour. I finished the first question i posted but i am stuck on this one:

A rock that contains a cavity filled with crystals is called a geode. Why are the cyrstals in the middle of the geode larger than the crystals toward the outside?

Maybe because the inside took longer to cool, thus giving the crystals more time to grow larger.
