Is it self-monitor or self monitor

Interesting question for I have seen both! Check your textbook carefully because it could depend upon the context, or exactly how the term is used.

I learned (and my dictionary says, but then it is Webster's from 1953) that self- is a prefix used in hyphenated compounds. Please understand that in a modern dictionary, it may not be the same! (generation gap?)

Sra (aka Mme)

Thank you
